I had a great Thanksgiving over at John and Steph’s house. Nice and mellow with good company and delicious food.
I made my families traditional holiday treat, Pizzelles, an italian cookie. Afterward, John helped me install my new 160gb hard drive for my macbook and then we jammed on the guitars for a bit.
Speaking of music, I’ve been working on my songs, some new and some old, a lot since moving into the new apartment. The spot I’m slowly turning into my office/studio is this little nook inside my bedroom with a large window. It has the best acoustics in the house and has inspired me to create my 5 song EP as an acoustic release. This will definitely expedite the process since it takes me forever until I’m happy with the electronic aspects of my songs.
I haven’t done much with The Joey Showy yet aside from compiling some ideas and trying to figure out the format. One thing I know for sure is that I want it to be a “show”, not a video cast of me talking about how great my Lasagna dinner was (unless it’s really, really funny!). Anyway, more to come soon on that I hope.
Oh yeah, it’s getting cooooold! It was so close to snowing the other day, I’m getting excited. So how was your Thanksgiving? Any plans for Christmas or Chanukah (or Johnukah)?

LOL...how about making a terribly insulting Kwanzaa cake?

I say we get Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to protest this one.
