This evening I was over at the soon to be Sugar Bakery + Cafe, John and Steph’s beautiful new cafe here in Seattle. I’m so excited for them to open and it’s amazing to be able to watch the progress.
After leaving the gym this evening I stopped by to see how John and Steph’s cafe, Sugar Bakery + Cafe, was coming along. Okay, well I actually came to help out with laying some concrete but I ended up getting caught up with my own project deadline. I did, however, get to see the progress since the last time I stopped by and I was blown away. It’s amazing how much has gotten done in only a few weeks! Especially lately since finally getting the permits (poor guys were stuck in permit land for way too long).
Bob, John’s dad and my good pal, was also there. I just love these guys, and it’s great to see the teamwork in action Trust me, these guys know how to work. John and Bob helped me move recently and if it weren’t for them I’d probably have left all of my furniture on the street somewhere.
Sugar Bakery + Cafe will be a place people can’t wait to return too. It has class and taste without any turn-offs typically associated with that quality of service. There are two things to understand about Steph. Number one she is an artist. She puts her heart and soul into anything she does. Whether it be building her own furniture or baking amazingly delicious and tasty treats. Which leads me to number two. Holy crap can she bake!
I hope to mooch wifi often there in the near future. And it’s only a short walk away too!

How exciting for your friends and you too! One reason I like the holiday seasons is because my husband is an excellent cook. oh the things he can cook!!!

There are some great places to take cooking lessons here. I’m not a bad cook really, especially with all my years in food service. But I’d love to learn bigger dishes and little tricks here and there.
I’m an experimenter. “Mmm, this seasoning smells good! I’ll put some in.”
You should take some pictures of your hubby’s home cooked meals!

I need to move to Seattle! Treats n’ goodies and all sorts of shenanigans going around all the time. But alas, I may just be hitting up Portland, OR with Brittney, come graduation next year!

Yeah I’ve been following steph’s blog too. You’re gonna love it when you check it out. I don’t know if you noticed but she is painting the walls with pink stripes like on her website!

Really, you live over that way? Nice! Yeah John and Steph are great. The place looks awesome with the tile now too.
Yesterday John and I did a lot of heavy lifting getting their pastry case and fridges, etc inside. It’ll be a great place to work and mooch wifi for us web folk
