My Grandma and I got a kick out of this ad one morning while reading the LA Times while I was down visiting over the holiday. She made sure to send the clipping to me.
How he got in my pajamas I’ll never know! This post is for my Uncle Tim, as he is the Marx Brothers nut in the family (not to mention the biggest Stooges fan I know). I hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy New Years Eve. And if you have today off, click through to see a documentary on Groucho Marx and enjoy your cup of coffee this New Years.
I got my new friend from the Seattle Animal Shelter. Poor guy got sick right away and had to stay for an extra 10 days on antibiotics. I waited.
I finally got my new desk shipped from Staples. My office/studio was the only room in my apartment that wasn’t setup at all. There are still plenty of things I’d like to do but it feels great to have a workspace setup finally!
I had a great Thanksgiving over at John and Steph’s house. Nice and mellow with good company and delicious food.
The amazingly fun day that wasn’t caught on motion video did serve a purpose. Millie will be receiving a location scout credit for the intro footage that I had to reshoot yesterday. Time wasn’t on my side but I managed to get all the footage I needed within just a few hours.
Last night I decided that today would be my “shoot” day in order to get footage for my podcast intro. I checked the weather and it was going to be a nice, clear mid 50’s day. Perfect for shooting!
For some reason, All Hallow’s Eve snuck up on me yet again. I think it’s because my nose has been smooshed into my Macbook so much that the days blend together. I feel like I’m doing the moonwalk into each week. I give the appearance of moving forward yet somehow I’m moving backward (sweet visual). So now I’ve decided to work this weekend a little and find myself unsure of which, if any, Halloween party to attend.
I’ve finally made the first step to releasing my video podcast tentatively (and most likely temporarily) titled “The Joey Showy”. I’ve created the theme song!
It’s very exciting because I can’t wait to release the podcast and share it with everyone. It’s been years since I decided I was going to do a podcast. It started with the idea of doing a radio play type podcast, but my new digicam has a really nice video feature that I just can’t ignore. The next day I shared it with a few people to get a little feedback and tried to not think about it while working. I tend to over-think my own artistic endeavors.
This evening I was over at the soon to be Sugar Bakery + Cafe, John and Steph’s beautiful new cafe here in Seattle. I’m so excited for them to open and it’s amazing to be able to watch the progress.
